The Boys and Leaders of Pack 895 Welcome You!

All boys entering 1st through 5th grade (ages 6-10) are welcome to join our pack.

We are a very active pack with enthusiastic, fully trained leaders who believe that Cub Scouts is a journey that must be shared by the boy, his leaders, and his parents. We strive to live up to the Scouting motto of "Fun With A Purpose" with the 'purpose' being to develop a boy's sense of family, community, faith and self worth. And the fun being camping, games, hiking, model building, campfires and so much more!!

Youth Protection

Posted on May 7 2012 - 6:44am

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we all can play a part in the social and emotional well-being of children and families in our community.  BSA has several programs and policies to protect youth. In addition to reviewing the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A parents guide each year, scouts and their parents can go over the four personal safety rules from the BSA video "It happened to me".  These rules are 1. Check First 2. Go with a friend (buddy system) 3. Its your body and you can say no. 4. Tell your parents or another adult you trust. Parents are encouraged to also take the Youth Protection class that all registered leaders are required to take. Remember to always use the buddy system at all scouting events.
